These beans were awarded 3rd place at the El Salvador Cup of Excellence awards (C.O.E) in 2010. Grown by Jaime Ernesto Riera Menendez, on his small farm on the foothills of the Santa Ana volcano, the plantation benefits from nutritious volcanic soil at a very high altitude, resulting in slow-ripening, high-quality fruit.

Aroma: Strong | Spicy

Taste: Has a bittery taste compared to a dark chocolate, with sharp hints of fruitiness and a mazipan sweetness, yets its light and full bodied.

Overall Experience: This complex coffee  has a powerful and spicy aroma and as it hits your pallette it burst with amazing flavours. I like to compare this to a christmas day with the smells and taste of christmas cakes and mince pies.
